I will continue to use my experience and skills to:
- Improve the “Quality of Life” for our families, senior citizens, youth, my fellow veterans and all who call Benton County home!
- Continue to put Benton County on a sustainable financial track without raising taxes.
- I will maintain a strong robust public safety system in Benton County!
- Continue to bring economic development to Benton County for quality family wage-jobs.
- Work hard on building a mental health and substance abuse treatment facility and program in Benton County without raising taxes or fees. (Done and Opening Soon!)
- I fully support our Police/Deputies and Fire Fighters making sure they have the proper training, equipment and resources to ensure Exceptional Public Safety. I am endorsed by Fire Fighters IAFF Local 1052 and supported heavily by local law enforcement.
- I will continue to foster strong relationships with Benton Counties business community and support “SMART Economic Development”.
- Work to protect our Agriculture Industry and its water rights!
- Very Important: I am the only candidate that has the Education and 30 plus years of Extensive Financial and Business Experience needed to help ensure that your taxpayer money is being used in the best possible way so that wasteful spending does NOT occur and taxes are not increased unnecessarily. Since being elected as a Past Richland City Mayor, Richland City Councilman and now as your Benton County Commissioner I have shown a proven track record of saving taxpayers millions of dollars in taxes and keeping Benton County out of a deficit! Many neighboring counties cannot say the same!
- I am a strong advocate for listening to the needs and concerns of our citizens. My pledge is to be Present, Accountable, and Transparent to all citizens of Benton County!
My Family has called Benton County Home For Over 30 years!

I have been married 37 years to my wife Gina. Our children were born and raised in Richland, attended Richland High School and are both graduates of WSU!
It is very important that you vote this year in the Primary Election! I am asking for your vote. If I have it, I am asking that you ask for family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who live in Benton County to vote for me as well!
Michael Alvarez
Thank you for your Vote!
